EXPERIMENTA WELCOMES TWO NEW STAFF MEMBERS

Jen MizuikJen Mizuik has been appointed as General Manager of Experimenta, to commence in January 2009.   Previously the Administration and Finance Manager at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), Jen has been on the management teams of visual arts organizations in Australia and abroad.  In 2004 Jen moved to Melbourne from Canada where she was the Administrator of the Art Gallery of Calgary (AGC), western Canada’s leading non-collecting public contemporary art gallery. Jen has a particular interest in the strategic development of new and evolving arts organisations.

Tamera King Tamera has worked in a variety of contemporary art spaces in Australia and New York.  Most recently, she was the Curator of Public Programs at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney following her position as Assistant Curator at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI).  Tamera’s curatorial career began through internships in the Curatorial, Film and Media Departments of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York and the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum, New York.  Tamera’s passion for the arts started in Perth at The Artists Foundation of Western Australia (AFWA), ArtSource, Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA), and as a funding panel assessor for ArtsWA’s Young People in the Arts.  Tamera’s education background includes fine art, multimedia, and film and video.
