A number of the image strips presented
here consist of abstract granular etchnings, scribblings and
lacerations. I want to emphasise that the abstract domain
can be seen as a place of purity, a kind of modernist essence.
Yet it can also be seen as
a safe place, a safe place where one can escape from trauma.
In such a reading it can become a site and exposition of traumatic
memory itself at a very basic, essential, primal level.
