This baby book has snippets of information about my birth
and early years which were recorded with love by my late mother,
Adi Lippmann. It is extremely precious to me because
it speaks of my mother's love for me and her delight in me
her first child.
The silver beaker was given to me on the occasion of my birth
by my mother's aunt, Ella, who still lived in Holland. The gift
is recorded in this Baby Book on this page.
My mother pined for her family in Holland and this beaker physically
acknowledged that bond. It now reminds me of my mother's own history
and childhood.
These are some of the very few memorabilia of my childhood years
in Charnwood Road, St Kilda. I have many fond memories however.
