Dad bought this case in England in 1976. He bought it because he thought all those TV super heroes were going to disappear. Can you believe it? He moved around a lot before he had me and kept letters from his mother and girlfriends (not Mum) in it. Dad told me that he even took it to the Caicos Islands (wherever that is) where he hung out with an old friend and drove around in a rusty old Mustang. Then my Mum and Dad had me and I guess he stopped travelling, so I got to use the case for my Thomas the Tank and car collection. I took it with me whenever we went away. The other day my 7 year old cousin was admiring the case which
is now full of CDs. He said ‘that’s a great box, I’d
love that, but I don’t know who some of the heroes are’.
So I guess Dad was right. |
