| My street
is lined with banksias. I love everything about these banksias — the
variety of forms the trees take, and the world of forms within each
tree. And then there is the silvery underside of leaf, and the unique
shape of each seed head.
And ...... the velvety inner core, just revealed, once used as
pipe cleaners. The parrots and the wattle birds come. Even the name
evokes. I know integrifolia is above leaves, but I like the integrity
that hides in the name. The trees connect
my present to the past.
