Home Back Forward

My uncle gave me this ring. I idolised him. We were visiting the family in Greece and he gave it to me for my 5th birthday. It was the first time I had been overseas and he paraded us around, my sister and I because we were the first born of the next generation.

In 1999 he was killed by lightning.
He knew he was going to die because he had arranged all his business, wills and even a trust for his children. When he died I thought of his own daughter who was the same age as me when I first visited him.

When I look at the ring it brings back all those memories and it also reminds me of my own childhood. I am always amazed that this little ring once fitted on my finger.
